Stags Leap District
About The Estate:
Realm Cellars has firmly established itself among the very top tier of Napa's greatest wineries, and is now one of the most sought after Estates in the World.
Realm Cellars is a journey in itself. Just eight years ago, owner Scott Becker and winemaker Benoit Touquette teamed up. Fueled by a clear vision, an entrepreneurial spirit and relentless determination, they transformed Realm into one of the most electrifying wineries in Napa Valley today. Now, with its own hillside Estate in the Stags Leap District, 50 acres of vines and access to a number of the finest vineyards in Napa, Realm makes some of the most sought-after wines in the world.
Making wine at the very highest level is at the core of Realm Cellars, and since 2012 the wines have been awarded an astonishing 17 x 100 point scores. The Realm portfolio includes both Single Vineyard wines and Proprietary Blends – collectively, the wines are equal parts an expression of the land and an articulation of the winemaking craft. The house style of Realm can best be described as a creative tension between richness and precision, density and finesse, purity of fruit and nuance.
The vision for what Realm can be encompasses more than creating fine wines. This passionate team is ready to push ahead in its relentless quest to secure an enduring place among the icons of the wine world. The best is always yet to come.
The names of the Estate and wines were inspired by Shakespeare’s King Richard II: “This blessed plot, this earth, this realm…”
Each individual bottle of the Estate Moonracer Cabernet Sauvignon has a unique label! Each label is totally unique, using a randomly selected combination of 3 data from different days throughout the growing season: temperature, wind speed and sun (Watts per square-metre). They are entered into a special programme that ‘translates’ them into a graphic. As there are countless millions of possible combinations each vintage, no two labels are ever alike!
Each label of the Moonracer Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is unique, produced using an algorithm created by Spanish digital-artist, Sergio Albiac.
