About The Wine
The single vineyard wines express their individual sites beautifully, offering an amazing exploration of the Valley from Stags Leap District and Pritchard Hill in the southeast, to the famed eastern reaches of the Rutherford Bench, and the foothills of the Mayacamas Mountains in Saint Helena.
The vineyard sources for the 2018 are: Bettinelli Sleeping Lady (Yountville), Houyi (Pritchard Hill), Stelzner (Stags Leap District) and a selection of the Beckstoffer Heritage Vineyards. This incredible breadth of character is captured perfectly in the Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon which blends key attributes from each vineyard into a harmonious wine that shows Patrice wears his heart on his sleeve.
The Napa Valley 2018 was fermented in stainles steel tanks, spending 28 days on the skins. It was aged in French oak barrels (85% new) for 18 months and bottled without fining.
Vice Versa Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2018
"There were 32 barrels of the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley produced. It’s a great wine, offering full-bodied richness and depth in a rich, concentrated, satisfying package. Classic Cabernet notes of cassis, tobacco, and chocolate all emerge from the glass, and it has ripe tannins, no hard edges, and the purity that’s the hallmark of the vintage front and center. A blend of 97% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Petit Verdot, enjoy bottles any time over the coming 20 years or more."
