About The Wine

Located at the base of the Mayacamas Mountains in western St Helena, Las Piedras is considered one of the ‘Holy Grail’ sites by Napa winemakers. Its history stretches back to 1840, and it became the first of Andy Beckstoffer’s Heritage Sites when he purchased it in 1983. With numerous 100 point scores, Paul Hobbs and Carter Cellars are among the Estates vying for this fruit, and the wines are famed for their depth and minerality.

The Las Piedras 2018 was fermented in stainles steel tanks, spending 28 days on the skins. It was aged in French oak barrels (90% new) for 18 months and bottled without fining.

Vice Versa Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

  • "There are 12 barrels of the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Las Piedras, which is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon brought up in 90% new French oak. Dense purple/blue-colored, it has an extraordinary bouquet of crème de cassis, black raspberries, crushed flowers, candied violets, and loamy, rocky earth-like nuances. Massively textured, full-bodied, opulent, and seamless on the palate, this monster of a wine is just about pure perfection in a glass."
