About The Wine
With his Teeter-Totter label, winemaker Benoit Touquette - part of the team behind the unrivalled success of Realm Cellars - gets to cherry pick fruit from his favourite vineyards throughout Napa. The result is a Cabernet-blend that's both serious and complex, while being delicious and moreish from the word go.
Benoit described 2019 as a "100% drool-worthy vintage", and his final blend was 85% Cabernet Sauvignon from St Helena, Yountville and Rutherford; 5% each of Petite Sirah, Charbono and Zinfandel from Calistoga. It's in the classic Benoit-style with plenty of richness and opulence, with a great structure to carry it along.
Teeter-Totter Cabernet Sauvignon 2019
"Readers looking for a great value in Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon should jump on the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon, a rich, plum and blue-fruited Cabernet with medium to full-bodied richness, plenty of classic cedarwood, chocolate, and tobacco aromatics, silky tannins, lots of opulence, and a great finish. It tastes as if it cost two to three times the price, and I'd be thrilled to drink bottles any time over the coming 10-12 years."
