About The Wine:
The Paderewski Vineyard is a beautiful property owned by Bill and Liz Armstrong, the owners of Epoch Estate. It was the site of the legendary vineyard of Ignacy Jan Paderewski. Saxum and Epoch have replanted the original site, feeling a wine coming from the Paderewski Vineyard had to include the original varieties that made it famous, Zinfandel and Petite Sirah, but in a blend that also showcased their beloved Rhone Varietals too. The wines are never racked off their lees and are bottled unfined and unfiltered.
NOTES FROM JUSTIN: Can I really lead off each review with "This is my favorite (fill in the blank) I've ever made!"? Yes I can. Best Rewski yet. And yes that 3% Viognier does make a huge difference! If you like our Paderewski Vineyard, you will not be disappointed with this wine.
Saxum Vineyards Paderewski Vineyard 2019
"The 2019 Paderewski Vineyard is incredibly complex, with loads of red and blue fruits as well as black licorice, orange blossom, and flowers. This beauty is full-bodied, has a layered, seamless mouthfeel, no hard edges, and as I wrote in notes after tasting this, it’s a killer wine."
