About The Wine
The PharaohMoans 2017 Grenache vineyard (the 362 clone originates from Spain) is situated on complete limestone soils at a high elevation with head trained vines. The Grenache was aged in large puncheons for 18 months. It has a beautiful texture, offering flavors of crushed strawberries, creamy cassis and exotic red fruits, and finishes with bright herbal notes, minerality and smoky aromas. This wine will age gracefully for the next 8 to 10 years. Only two barrels produced (50 cases).
PharaohMoans Grenache 2017
"These Pharaoh Moans releases are made by the incredibly talented Guillaume Fabre. Medium ruby-colored and semi-opaque, the 100% varietal 2017 Grenache is brilliant, ranking with the finest I've tasted to date from this estate. Beautiful kirsch, blackberries, ground herbs, flowers, and savory spice notes all emerge from this medium to full-bodied, powerful yet graceful Grenache that has fine tannins, beautiful balance, no hard edges, and a great finish. It has richness as well as elegance and will cruise for over a decade."
