About the Estate

 

Such was the sheer beauty of the O’Shaughnessy Estate, it took the Four Corners team a disproportionally long time to drive through the vineyards between the front gates and the winery perched at the top of Howell Mountain. It was impossible not to stop and admire each new view that emerged as we rounded every corner, and we struggled to lift our gaping jaws from the floor throughout the entire visit. Given the heavenly surroundings, it’s no surprise to discover that the wines are some of the best being produced in Napa and remain, thankfully, relatively under the radar. Needless to say, the critics have been heaping on the praise. The two mountain Cabernets are produced from the Estates vineyards on Howell Mountain and Mount Veeder respectively, with the Chardonnay coming from the O’Shaughnessy’s vineyard in Oakville. While all of the wines are currently vinified in the Howell Mountain cellar, a new facility on Mount Veeder will be opening in late 2016 solely for this Cabernet.
