About The Wine
This vintage marks the debut of the 'Project 18' - an astonishing barrel selection, blending 16 barrels of Cabernet Sauvignon from Tench Vineyard, with 3 barrels and Cabernet Franc and 2 of Merlot from the Sugarloaf Ranch Vineyards: the first time these two Grand Cru sites have been specifically blended together in one wine!
It was aged for 18 months in new French Oak (Daranjou, taransaud, Gamba,Sylvain), before being bottles on 26th April, 2021.
Lerner Project 'Project 18' Cabernet Sauvignon 2019
"The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Project 18 offers classic Napa Valley cassis and darker, almost blue fruits to go with full-bodied aromas and flavors of graphite, tobacco, leaf, and crushed stone. It’s deep, rich, and concentrated, with great tannins."
