About The Wine
2013 stands as one of the all-time great vintages for Norhten California. Following ample rainfall in the winter, the growing season was warm and mild, helping to create fruit forward wines that exude ripeness and opulence that contrasts to the more tannic and reserved wines of the previous vintage.
Harvest was on 24th August, and it was aged for 11 months in 30% new and 70% neutral French oak following whole cluster pressing and native yeast fermentation.
Founded by Larry Hyde in 1979, Hyde Vineyards is located in the heart of Napa Valley's Carneros region. Hyde Vineyards has long been hailed a grand cru-caliber site primarily known for its Pinot Noir and Chardonnay fruit, used by some of the most highly acclaimed wine producers in Napa and Sonoma. In 2009, Larry decided to debut his own small-lot production Pinot Noir project and today, the Hyde Estate Winery sits looking out onto the acclaimed vineyards near the Carneros Highway corridor surrounded by 25 acres planted to Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

"This wine is characterized by intense citrus and limestone flavors with crisp refreshing acidity and hints of toasted oak and stone fruit. It's evolving beautifully in the bottle, balancing bags of youthful character with a mouth-watering depth and richness."
