About the Estate:
The Blueprint 2017 fruit was sourced from Lail's famed Estate Totem Vineyard (Yountville), Farella Vineyard (Coombsville) and Rewa Vineyard (Coombsville). It was fermented in French oak (43% new) and aged in stainless steel.
Robin’s beautiful home at The Mole Hill Estate on Howell Mountain is the heart and soul of Lail, and gives its name to the hyper-rare Mole Hill Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon – wine so rare that it is not made every year, and has not been reviewed by any wine writer.
As well as Mole Hill, Lail has vineyards at top sites across the valley: Heimark in Calistoga, Vine Hill Ranch in Oakville, Totem Estate in Yountville, Crocker in St. Helena, Farella and Rewa in Coombsville. As well as these stunning Cabernets, Lail is famed for its Sauvignon Blancs. The top cuvee is the exclusive Georgia Sauvignon Blanc, produced from cooler sites in Yountville. Robin recently served the 2004 vintage to Parker who was astonished to find how fresh and complex it was at over ten years of age! He described the Georgia as one of the great Sauvignon Blancs of the USA.
Lail Vineyards Blueprint Sauvignon Blanc 2017
"Robin Lail's 2017 Sauvignon Blanc is absolutely gorgeous. Fresh, crisp and beautifully delineated, with tons of varietal character, the Blueprint screams with varietal character. This is such a classy and polished wine. The 2017 is a real overachiever. Vineyard sources are Totem, Farella and Rewa."

"The 2017 Sauvignon Blanc Blueprint from Lail Vineyard is one of the gems out there and is well worth your time and money. This beauty has terrific notes of crushed lemon and white flowers as well as medium to full-bodied richness, impressive minerality, good concentration, and bright, racy acidity that cuts a fine path on the palate. Made in an age-worthy, Bordeaux Blanc style, drink it any time over the coming 7-8 years."
