About the Wine:
The Blueprint is Lail Vineyards' modern interpretation of Cabernet Sauvignon, capturing the abundant sunshine of Napa Valley and transforming it into intensely flavorful wines meant for early release and enjoyment in a delicious, crowd-pleasing style. Whimsically named “Blueprint” as a nod to Jon Lail’s highly regarded architectural design achievements, this gorgeous Cabernet hails from impeccable vineyards and is made by a great winemaker.
The 2015 vintage the fruit was sourced from six premium sites across NApa Valley: the three vineyards used for the flagship J. Daniel Cuvée (Mole Hill, Heimark and Vine Hill Ranch), complimented with the Lambert Vineyard in Coombsville, the Evans Vineyard in Soda Canyon and the San Savino Vineyard in Yountville.
The wine spent 18 months in French oak, of which 40% was new.
Lail Vineyards Blueprint Cabernet Sauvignon 2015
"The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Blueprint is a gorgeous entry-level wine from Robin Lail, as well as a fabulous value within the world of high-end Napa Valley Cabernet. Dense and powerful on the palate, the 2015 possesses remarkable intensity in every dimension. Dark red cherry, plum, tobacco, menthol, licorice and grilled herbs give the wine aromatic intrigue, while shades of mocha, espresso and lavender appear with time in the glass. Racy and voluptuous, with notable depth, the 2015 will drink well with only minimal cellaring. Don't miss it.”
