About The Wine


This is the third vintage of Favia’s standalone bottling of a Cabernet Sauvignon from Coombsville, the historic, however newly ascendant, appellation in the southeast corner of the Napa Valley.


Annie and Andy have been working with vineyards in this area for more than a decade and it is now home to their winery. Its gravelly soils and proximity to San Pablo Bay combine to lend the wines an old-world, savoury quality, delivered at an impressive level of concentration and depth. The long, careful maceration on the skins adds to the roundness of the tannins, even given their breadth and structure.

It's beautiful on the palate as well, with a tight, vibrant, concentrated style, good acidity, and a focused texture that opens up with time in the glass. Hide bottles for 4-5 years and it will keep for 20-25 years."
