About The Wine

The Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard in Saint Helena was the first site ever produced by Fait-Main. The stony, tough soils in the middle of a typically soft and rich valley floor, create a full-bodied wine with sumptuous complexity. The richly layered palate that each vintage has expressed thus far, shows the site’s compelling interplay of fruit and structure, bound together with graceful minerality.

2019 was a landmark vintage for Fait-Main, as they included a new block of clone 337 for the first time. This subtle addition has brought greater complexity and wonderful textures to the assemblage. This is Las Piedras at its best: a powerful, aromatic core packed with crème de cassis, graphite, lavender and blackberry notes, shaded by graceful red and blue fruit and grounded in the site’s signature minerality – plus a finish that refuses to end.

Fait-Main Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

  • "Certainly in the same league as the 2018, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard is another full-bodied, ripe, incredibly sexy wine that has an incredible bouquet of red and blue fruits, sandalwood, crushed stone, and exotic spices. As with the 2018, it's flawlessly balanced and has a round, lush texture, supple tannins, and a great finish. The 2018 is more straight and classic, and the 2019 is more up-front, sexy, and exuberant. Both are incredible wines."
