About The Wine
A brand-new cuvée from Vice Versa, steeped in secrecy! It's a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon from the legendary Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard and the Ecotone Vineyard.
Nestled in the steep hillside between Howell Mountain and Saint Helena, this 30 year old vineyard planted on white volcanic tufa, is an absolute jewel. Planted and meticulously farmed by viticulturist extraordinaire David Abreu, this vineyard is the birthplace of several brilliant Napa Valley wines, including Abreu Thorevilos and Colgin Cariad. Fruit from this site show extraordinary richness, intensity, depth, ultra fine tannins and minerality.
Vice Versa The Mysterons Cabernet Sauvignon 2019
"The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Mysterons is blend of the single vineyards (Beckstoffer To Kalon, Dr. Crane, and Las Piedras) that saw 18 months in new barrels. It’s another remarkable, borderline perfect wine that has an incredible nose of both red and black fruits as well as new leather, incense, espresso, and floral nuances. It’s a full-bodied, rich mouthful of a wine on the palate, yet it’s amazingly graceful, light on its feet, and balanced. It shows more and more structure and tannins with time in the glass and will benefit from at least 4-5 years of bottle age, but if you can hold it that long, you have more willpower than I do."
