About the Wine:

The fruit for the Fleur de Solène 2015 was sourced from the top sites on the superior, Westside of Paso Robles. The vines are spaced 2,300 vines per acre - ideal for working them hard to prodcue a more complex wine, with miniscule yields of just 2.5 tonnes per acre. As a result, just 300 cases of this elixir were produced in 2015.

The wine spend 16 months in French oak, only 40% new, so the emphasis is on texture and style over oak-flavour. It's the highest scoring vintage of this cuvée to date.

The 2015 vintage produced exceptional wines, although yields were incredibly low due to high winds causing poor flowering. The best wines are full of vibrancy, intensity and energy.

  • “A blend of 50% Syrah, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Grenache, the 2015 Fleur De Solene from Guillaume is a ripe, sexy wine that shows the more elegant, focused style of the vintage. Possessing full-bodied richness, notable tannin, impeccable balanced and lots of cassis, black raspberry, crushed violet and charcoal aromatics, this beauty will continue drinking nicely for at least a decade."
