About The Wine:
The Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon in this blend are from the Twin Peaks estate vineyard, while the Cabernet Franc hails from acclaimed viticulturist David Abreu’s Madrona Ranch. The vineyards are farmed with meticulous attention to detail, maintaining yields at sparse levels—ranging from two to three tons per acre. The wine is composed of just a few of the best lots from these most cherished sites.
In the cool darkness of night, grapes were hand-picked into twenty-five pound bins to minimise crushing. By early morning, the grapes were subjected to rigorous selection by our three-tiered sorting process which includes our cutting edge optical sorter, and a slow, individual berry hand sort. The fruit was gently gravity-delivered to small tanks by our unique crane system which kept the berries intact. Cold soaks lasted approximately seven days, and fermentations were managed via a combination of délestage, pumpovers, and punchdowns. Extended maceration ranging from four to five weeks fine-tuned the tannin profiles, allowing the perfect mouth feel and wine complexity. The wine was aged in French oak barrels, 66% of which was new, for twenty-two months.
Cliff Lede High Fidelity 2018
"A blend of 50% Cabernet Franc, 25% Merlot, 23% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Petit Verdot, the 2018 High Fidelity Red Blend has a medium to deep garnet-purple color, opening with seductive notes of redcurrant jelly, blackberry coulis, black raspberries and spice cake followed by nuances of red roses, cedar chest and pencil lead with a waft of underbrush. The medium to full-bodied palate quivers with compelling energy, framed by finely grained tannins and bags of freshness, finishing with loads of red fruit and perfumed layers."

"Lots of red and black fruits, spring flowers, candied orange, and violet notes emerge from the 2018 Red Blend High Fidelity. Another beautifully balanced, medium to full-bodied, elegant wine in this lineup, it offers nicely integrated acidity, present yet ripe tannins, and a great mid-palate. It’s already hard to resist, yet I see no reason why it wouldn’t continue to drink well for another 10-15 years. The blend is 50% Cabernet Franc, 25% Merlot, 23% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the balance Petit Verdot."
